In June 2021 multiple Fresno Cradle to Career partners joined forces to form the Fresno Coalition for Digital Inclusion (FCDI). FCDI brings together institutions, local government/public agencies and community-based organizations to collaborate with shared purpose toward equitable internet access. There are presently 29 organizations at the table representing the County and City of Fresno, K-12, higher education, healthcare, housing and community-based organizations. The coalition is working in several dimensions: the personal, household, and community levels, as well as the systems infrastructure level.
Thanks to the pandemic, there is a cross-sector agreement that quality internet access for all is necessary, and it must be equitable and affordable. This commitment is the basis for the Fresno County Coalition for Digital Inclusion.
